Support Workers x2 – £24k pa

We are looking for great people skills in our Support Workers!

You may have worked in a service supporting other groups of vulnerable people or, are looking to change careers, or you may have had direct experience of homelessness.

Whatever your background, we want people who will bring resilience and the ability to motivate individuals towards their goals within the client group.  Support Workers are vital to ensuring the personal development and empowerment of clients living at Branches Hostel. We are looking for people who can encourage, challenge, coach and facilitate individuals on their journey of change, including through the difficult stages.

A formal qualification isn’t necessary but we’re looking for the right mix of attitude, experience and skills.  Of course, you have excellent communication skills and will be comfortable interacting with individuals in a non-judgemental way. You’ll use your initiative together with a ‘can do’ attitude in your day-to-day work.

This is not a desk-bound role.  The Support Worker roles are hands-on and you will be comfortable being a visible presence in and around the hostel and actively engaged with the day-to-day work of the organisation.  Branches is a small hostel, which means everyone mucks in and helps with what needs to be done. You must be a collaborative team player but equally confident working alone.

You can see more about what we are looking for in the Role Profile. If you think you have the skills, attitude and experience we are looking for, we want to see your application!

  What we offer

  • An in-depth induction programme; and a training programme tailored to your professional development needs on successful completion of probation
