“As the family of a former resident, we cannot put into words how much Branches has meant to us over the past five years.
From the very beginning, Branches went far beyond simply providing housing for our dad. They gave him safety, dignity, compassion and genuine care at a time when he needed it most. Every member of staff showed kindness and dedication, treating him not just as a resident, but as a human being who mattered.
Knowing our dad was safe, respected and truly cared for gave us an immense sense of relief and comfort as a family. Branches didn’t just support him, they supported us. That level of understanding and humanity is something we will always be grateful for.
Although our dad has now been successfully housed elsewhere, Branches will forever hold a special place in our hearts. The difference they make, day in and day out, is life-changing, and we will never forget the role they played in our dad’s journey.

There are endless activities going on at Branches that ex residents are welcome to attend. I still engage with Branches staff and current residents. I recently organised a pool competition for current and ex clients. I also like to volunteer to help out when ever I can it keeps my brain active. We have supported hostel accommodation for single homeless adults in Walthamstow and the surrounding boroughs. Places at Branches Hostel are temporary, for up to 18 months. During their stay we encourage and facilitate change for residents taking the very difficult steps towards their future independence and permanent move-on accommodation. We support people aged between 18 and 65 regardless of gender, religion, ethnicity or sexuality.
Thanks to the support from staff at Branches I got a job before I moved on!
