Casual (Bank) Receptionists

Join our Casual (Bank) Reception Team if you think will enjoy the challenges and variety of working in a hostel for single, homeless people.

About you
We want to hear from you if you are a ‘people-person’ with great communication skills. We want you to use your initiative and have a ‘can do’ attitude in your work. Ideally, you will have some experience of working in an organisation which supports vulnerable people.  And of course you will have very good IT skills, using Word and Excel.

Summary of Conditions

Rate: £9 per hour

Hours: Casual hours Monday to Sunday, including day and evening shifts.

Shifts: 8am to 2pm; 12noon to 6pm; 2pm to 8pm; 4pm to 8pm.

We will offer work as and when we need additional cover.

As a Casual (Bank) Receptionist you will not be entitled to organisational or statutory sick pay and you will not be eligible to join Branches Hostel’s pension scheme.  Under the Working Time Regulations 1998 as amended by the Working Time (Amendment) Regulations 2001 you are entitled to paid annual leave at the rate of 5.6 weeks per complete year of work on a pro rata basis.

This is a rolling recruitment campaign with interviews held at the end of every month.

If you are successful in your application and interview, we will add your name to our list of Casual (Bank) Reception Workers, subject to receiving satisfactory references.  You will need to have a current, basic Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) certificate. If you do not have a DBS you must be able to apply for one.
