Support Worker

The role requirements

Above all, you will need to be an excellent communicator and able to interact with residents in a non-judgemental way.

You will have at least two years’ experience of directly supporting a vulnerable client group and facilitating change.

It is important that you are able to work within the ethos and aims of our organisation.

This includes having a person-centred, strengths-based approach to supporting individual clients.

Purpose of the Role

As a member of a professional, experienced team, you will:

  • Provide person-centred support, advice and advocacy for service users;
  • Facilitate individuals to develop skills and maximise their potential to enable move-on to suitable accommodation and maintain independent living;
  • Support service users towards social inclusion through volunteering, training, education and employment opportunities;
  • Deliver workshops and group sessions for the client group to facilitate skills development;
  • Proactively engage with external agencies for the benefit of service users.
