The scope and challenge of the role

The scope of the role is wide and requires resilience, sound judgement, experience and knowledge, and solid management. The Supported Housing Operations Manager is responsible for the delivery of Branches Hostel’s operational aims through the services we provide to clients in our 27 bed hostel. Working closely with the Chief Executive, the role will also help shape the strategic direction of the organisation and will be a key part of our growth plans.

The Supported Housing Operations Manager will be based at Branches Hostel. This is a demanding, hands on and varied role that will oversee first rate, needs-led support services to a client group with multiple, complex needs. You will lead teams and directly manage staff; and balance highly-effective housing management and proactive management of partnership relations. The post-holder will maximise income for the organisation through effective management of voids, service charges and rent contribution payments, and of welfare benefits relevant to the client group.

Outline terms

Salary: £37.5 – £40k per annum

Working hours: 37.5 per week

Direct report: Chief Executive

Staff management: Support and Resettlement Worker Team x4; Administration x2 part-time; Waking Night Concierges x3; and Ancillary Staff x2.
